5 EASY TIPS TO LOOK LIKE A PUNJABI GIRL

India is a colorful land and Punjab is one of the traditionally rich states of this beautiful country. The Following are 5 Simple ways to look like a Punjabi Woman.

CHURIDAAR KURTA

 A popular comfortable and convenient dress worn by Punjabi women is Churidaar Kurta.  Kurta is long shirt semi fitted to the body which falls up to or below the knees with side slit usually with broad sleeves.Churidaar is tight fitted pant which is tied at the waist. This is traditional dress worn in Punjab, but is now worn everywhere, particularly among younger Women.
                                               

SALWAR KAMEEZ


Kameez (a type of girls shirt) is the top piece. Salwar is nothing but a loose and baggy pant (bottom piece). It falls up to and gathered at the ankle . You need not worry about Salwar, you can pair up the Kurta with any other loose pants like Patiyala or If you want to look fashionable you can also pair up with trendy jeans.


                  




DUPPATA


A Duppata is a piece of colorful rectangular fabric that women wear around their necks like a scarf.  Duppata comes in many colors. Draping of duppata follows many ways but if you want to look traditional then hang it from the head and remaining part on the shoulder. The women can also be seen wearing shawls adorned with the beautiful Phulkari shawls. Phulkari is nothing but flower work or embroidery commonly seen on shawls, Duppatas and Ghagra Choli

                




JUTTI


The traditional shoes called Jutti, is a type of handcrafted footwear typically associated with the Punjabis. The Jutti has no left-foot or right-foot distinction and it take the shape of the feet over period of a time. Don’t worry about the Jutti because now-a -days this type shoes are available in almost all metropolitan cities. The Jutti of a MAN differs from those women in its design. Women’s Jutti have extensive embroidery and embellishments.





 




GOLD JEWELRY AND OTHER TRADITIONAL ORNAMENTS

Another important thing is traditional ornamentation which most of the girls love to wear it. Punjabi women also like to wear their gold jewelry over their traditional dresses, especially on special occasions such as weddings or religious functions. They also use multi colored glass bangles, stunning necklaces, nose pins, large earrings, anklets, toe rings and other decorative ornaments. Yeah, don’t worry by seeing list of ornamentations you can pair up with any jewelry you have, like simple single bangle, heavy earrings and simple necklace and with matching or contrasting trinkets and rubber bands. Women are never seen without their kadhas, the traditional steel bangle which has a religious significance
